The torrid Tuesday night traffic, following a torrential downpour, thankfully did not serve as a deterrent for The Edge Malaysia’s 48 guests to make it perfectly on time for a private dinner celebrating the upcoming luxury residential development by UEM Sunrise, Residensi Solaris Parq. The project forms part of the award-winning developer’s latest lifestyle destination and integrated development, Solaris Parq Dutamas. For those unfamiliar with the desirability of the location — such a key component when it comes to property shopping — Residensi Solaris Parq will be one of the last prime freehold properties set in an iconic two-acre urban park right within the key Dutamas vicinity and will be conveniently connected to Publika via a proposed walkway bridge.

The dinner, held at the UEM Sunrise showroom in Mont’Kiara, also showcased a small art exhibition by The Edge Galerie featuring some of the brightest names in contemporary Malaysian art, including Dr Jolly Koh, Datuk Sharifah Fatimah Syed Zubir, Awang Damit and Eng Tay. The pieces were curated by Johnni Wong, general manager of The Edge Galerie. Naturally, with the cultural component well taken care of, the food and drink benchmark was kept matchingly high.

Chef Korn Yodsuk, the talent behind Erawan at DC Mall, crafted a stunning four-course fusion Thai menu, complemented perfectly by a fl ight of Macallan whiskies. Throughout the evening, guests took the opportunity to tour the show units, located on the same level, to get a feel of UEM Sunrise’s flair at crafting modern, luxurious living spaces. Coincidentally, 2018 also marks five decades since the company was established or, as its managing director Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib more aptly put it, “50 years of building communities”.
