New York-based Kimberley Ho has been listed in Forbes’ 2019 edition of the '30 under 30' list under Retail & E-Commerce category for her impressive achievement in developing a non-toxic skincare line for children. The annual list chronicles ‘the brashest entrepreneurs across the US and Canada', according to Forbes website.

Ho had an insider’s view of the skincare industry while she was working on Wall Street as a consumer brands investor — and saw the need for creating baby-friendly skincare line that is free of toxins and harmful ingredients. The Malaysian then co-founded Evereden with her husband in March 2018, which offers well-formulated body washes, shampoos, sunscreens and diaper creams that are effective and safe for babies’ fragile skin. Ho has received a whopping US$2 million offer for her products, which have received accolades from big names such as Bobbi Brown and Vogue.

Ho, who left for the US when she was 18, worked for investment banking firm Goldman Sachs after she graduated from Stanford University as an economics major. The 28-year-old has enlisted the help of paediatricians and scientists from Stanford and Harvard to create products that use ingredients typically found in women’s luxury skincare products. She recounts how she started the business in an interview with Forbes.

“Travelling back and forth to Asia over the years, my girlfriends starting families would beg me to bring them natural and organic baby products from the US — they just weren’t on the market over there. But after doing some research, I realised that the formulas in US baby products weren’t as safe or effective as they claimed to be. I quit my job in finance and set out on a mission to rebuild children’s skincare from the ground up. One year later, I’m launching Evereden.”

The local entrepreneur also took to Instagram so share the good news on her Forbes list achievement.
