Real estate, tourism and economic development consultancy Resonance recently announced the latest rankings of the world’s 100 top-performing cities in its annual World’s Best Cities Report. Quantified by analysing key statistics, user-generated reviews and online activity in channels such as Google, Facebook and Instagram, the report is regarded as the leading and most thorough city ranking.

Taking into account principal cities with metropolitan populations of one million or more, the benchmarks cover both experiential factors people consider when it comes to choosing a city to live in and visit as well as empirical factors important to business and investment decision-makers. These range from culinary, museum and tourist sights on offer to flight connections, number of Global 500 corporations and even how many mentions each city has on Instagram.

These are the top 10 cities for 2020:
1) London, England
2) New York City, the US
3) Paris, France
4) Tokyo, Japan
5) Moscow, Russia
6) Dubai, the United Arab Emirates
7) Singapore, Republic of Singapore
8) Barcelona, Spain
9) Los Angeles, the US
10) Rome, Italy
