Aston Martin is seeking to put more female experts in the driver’s seat to spur the automotive sector. On March 8, girls from across the UK were invited to experience a day in the life of an Aston Martin employee, from touring the rejuvenated Newport Pagnell facility and heritage dealership to joining an exclusive panel event in partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One team. They also had a chance to hear from female leaders across Aston Martin’s business, before enjoying a private meeting with Formula One team chief information officer Clare Lansley.
The British marque continues to work towards an equitable workspace for all, while fulfilling its 2022 sustainability strategies such as tackling climate change and using clean energy. To shake off the stigma attached to a male-dominated industry, Aston Martin has designed an exhaustive graduate and apprenticeship programme for the next generation of talents to consider the huge career opportunities within the company.
Inclusivity and diversity are still high on Aston Martin’s list of priority — it has made a pledge to ensure at least 25% of leadership roles will be filled by women in the next five years. Additional information at astonmartin.com.
