Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerúndolo has been named Swiss watchmaker Zenith’s latest Friend of the Brand. The 25-year-old athlete’s cool-under-pressure personality and dynamic play resonate with the Swiss watchmaker’s Time to Reach Your Star philosophy, which aims to inspire big movers in arts, sports and culture.
Some of the names under Zenith that Cerúndolo joins include Olympic gymnast and TV host Airi Hatakeyama, Singaporean actor Desmond Tan, and DJ and producer, Carl Cox.
Having discovered his love for tennis at a young age, Cerúndolo propelled through international ranks due to his relentless work ethic and passion. He won his maiden ATP Tour title in 2022, followed by his second title in Eastbourne, the UK, and his very first Wimbledon triumph this year.
The young tennis star has captured the attention of pros and fans around the world, and his reputation as a fierce yet gracious force on the court makes him the perfect match for Zenith’s own commitment to constantly push boundaries and achieve greatness in the face of adversity.
For Cerúndolo, becoming a Friend of the Brand has been “a dream come true”, he says, as Zenith “embodies innovation, precision and a drive to reach new heights”. CEO Julien Tornare shares similar sentiments about the athlete, stating that he “stands out by demonstrating just how important it is to remain true to yourself and your values when you’re on the path to reaching your star”.
