The need for social distancing have forced cultural and historical sites around the world to close their doors for now, but museums like Fondation Louis Vuitton are taking their exhibitions, performances and masterclasses online for culture vultures across the globe.

As part of its #FLVfromhome programme, three digital events are set every week — Wednesday at 6pm, Friday at 8.30pm and Sunday at 5.30pm Paris time — and will be made available from the Fondation’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

From exhibitions with commentary by the curators to concerts held at the expansive auditorium, fans can relive or discover works and events offered since the foundation opened six years ago.

For Malaysians, tune in on Thursday at 1am, Saturday at 3.30am and Monday at 12.30am to catch the shows live. Otherwise, the videos of past events will still be available on the respective sites.

Its first weekly run began on March 25, where head curator Suzanne Pagé took the audience through the In Tune with the World exhibition, which aggregated modern and contemporary works in 2018. The exhibition film is in French but English subtitles are available. Explore In Tune with the World again, here.

The Fondation's past offerings also include the likes of Chinese pianist Lang Lang, whose performance was made online on March 27. Lang debuted in Carnegie Hall in 2001 and has become one of the world’s greatest talents in the 21st century. Recorded in 2014, Lang performs works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Tchaïkovski. On March 29, there will be a screening of Violoncelles, vibrez!, a documentary on the work of  Gautier Capuçon and his six graduates from the first season of the Classe d’Excellence de Violoncelle, a masterclass project designed to promote six young and talented cellists from around the world. The documentary will be available Monday at 12.30am, Malaysia time. Catch it here.

The design of the Fondation Louis Vuitton building itself is a work of art. If you haven’t explored the place in person, download the Fondation Louis Vuitton app (available on ios and Google Play store) and journey inside the unconventional structure. The architectural tour is a must for those who’d like to know more about renowned architect Frank Gehry’s futuristic design. Virtual walkthroughs and exclusive content on selected artworks are also available on the app.
