The full moon is just about to reach its peak and bakeries around the Klang Valley are hard at work, churning out delectable pastries packed in equally opulent boxes. Gift friends, family or even yourself a mix of classic and unique mooncakes this season.
A celebration of the universe and all its glory, Intercontinental KL’s Celestial collection is thoughtfully curated by master dim sum chef Lo, with moreish picks such as signature almond and sweet potato with pandan and salted mung bean; and bamboo charcoal with black sesame, coconut and salted egg. Its stunning packages steal the show — one is constructed to resemble an ornate cabinet, the other sculpted with clean symmetry, opening like a jewellery case to reveal the precious confections within.
