In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Kens Apothecary unveils a collector’s edition of its eagerly anticipated annual advent calendar. A step beyond its already treasured status, this year’s Archive Advent Calendar is designed to capture the milestones of the beloved brand’s journey as Malaysia’s premier retailer of niche beauty products.
Marking a quarter of a century, the trove of treats houses 25 legacy and iconic products curated to represent the company’s evolution over the years. Delicate hand-drawn illustrations and a sumptuous scarlet casing adorned with glimmering gold details and celestial elements inspire a star-studded adventure reminiscent of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. A playful series of stickers accompanies the curated collection, each symbolising the lesser-known moment from the retailer’s past: a fragrance bottle on a boat recalls founder Ken Lim’s close friendship with perfumer Marc-Antoine Barrois, who once invited Lim for a presentation aboard his private boat.

'The Kens Apothecary Archive … is a storybook of our journey. It is our way of inviting customers to rediscover beauty with the same sense of wonder we had when we first began 25 years ago,' says Lim. 'From an envelope of perfume samples to a yacht in Cannes, beauty has always found a way to surprise and inspire us. That sense of serendipity is what we wanted to capture.'
Among the handpicked staples found in each sleek box are fan favourite Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream, an award-winning breakthrough moisturiser; 111Skin’s Repair Serum NAC Y2 Mini, crafted to defy time and invigorate the skin’s vitality; and the gently exfoliating Vinoperfect Brightening Micropeel Foam from Caudalie, which promises to lift away impurities and clarify your complexion.
The Kens Apothecary Archive, valued at RM3,400, is offered at RM850, with a privileged price of RM695 for Silver Tier members and above.
