W Kuala Lumpur takes its cues from the city, with the Skyline Series translating Kuala Lumpur’s ever-changing scenery into four colourful gift boxes. Urban Sunrise, Emerald Pulse, Midnight Ember and Blush Horizon capture different moods, from daybreak to twilight, while highlighting the design sensibility of its Cantonese restaurant, Yen. TWG Tea puts a contemporary spin on the mid-autumn tradition with Miss Tea, a new green-tea blend flavoured with pomegranate and strawberries. It takes centre stage in a collection of four baked mooncakes, each infused with one of the brand’s signature blends. They are Jewel, made with Miss Tea-infused yam paste and a pumpkin pudding centre; returning favourite Constellation, a Singapore Breakfast Tea-infused brown lotus filling; matcha-based Harvest; and Eclipse with a charcoal crust, black sesame filling and caramel tea.

Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel presents the Lunar Tier mooncake collection, where the packaging is almost as much a talking point as the mooncakes themselves. Designed with pull-out drawers and lattice-inspired motifs, the keepsake box opens to reveal little surprises. Inside are four baked flavours: red bean paste; lotus paste with single yolk; pandan paste with single yolk; and longan wolfberry paste. For something more indulgent, the Moonlight Luxe Cooler Collection offers eight mini snowskin mooncakes in flavours including Musang King Durian, Yam, Citrus Lemon and Tiramisu.

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

Malaysian craftsmanship takes centre stage in a limited-edition set created by Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and local social enterprise Tiffin Jeiwa. The two-tier stainless-steel tiffin is hand-painted by artisans from underserved communities, each featuring a hornbill-inspired design and wrapped with a TAS by Tom Abang Saufi scarf. Inside are six mooncakes and two tea canisters that come from the hotel’s Timeless Tradition, Snow Skin and Artisanal Chocolate collections. Highlights include musang king durian; red bean paste with bird’s nest and rose; as well as pistachio kataifi chocolate.

A frosty spin on the traditional treat, Inside Scoop’s Ice Cream Mooncakes come in a six-piece set featuring flavours familiar to fans of the local ice cream brand. Handcrafted by the culinary team at Le Mei, the six-flavour lineup ranges from egg yolk with white lotus and red bean with tangerine peel to scarlet snow lotus, toffee butterscotch and green tea apricot.
