In celebration of a decade in business, tucked-away Bistro à Table is offering an unheard of RM50+ two-course lunch menu. Start with a light but luscious entree of fig and parmesan salad followed by a choice of mains that included caramelised magret de canard with cassoulet puree and shredded duck confit and leek pappardelle. Items may vary according to what’s fresh and in season but ever in the feisty spirit of its chef-proprietress Isadora Chai, the pocket-friendly menu is available “until I change my mind”.

Chic Ember Modern Bistro in Taman Tun knows how to keep its legion of loyal patrons happy. Expect familiar flavours but interjected by surprising new twists.

Three courses for under RM300. For those who have had their palates pleasured by chef-founder Darren Chin of DC Restaurant would know that this is a gourmet bargain not to be missed. For RM288++ per person, you can be assured of signature crowdpleasers like the cold capellini with bafun uni and wagyu with a marbling score of seven. There are also four- and five-course degustations to choose from if you’re extra famished or just feeling swish.

The award-winning Franco-Japanese fine dining room that is Cilantro is now offering a value-for-money proposition with an augmented version of its hugely-popular Friday set lunch but for Wednesday dinner. Comprising five courses, the special midweek menu is priced at just RM300 nett, a more truncated but no less tasty version of its regular (and pricier) degustation menus.
