Jewel Changi Airport has received a taste of New York City with the opening of The Coach Restaurant Singapore, a modern steakhouse paying homage to the brand’s hometown. The eatery is the most recent development in a series of F&B offerings by the house.

Overlooking the iconic Rain Vortex, the space blends striking architectural gestures reflecting the brand’s heritage with an added Southeast Asian twist. A contrast of natural and industrial materials create a dynamic and cosy setting — bronze mirror walls, poured terrazzo floors, glovetanned leather furniture, tropical wood louvers and even a full-size yellow taxi cab suspended from the ceiling. The 56-seat dining room is anchored by a curved ceiling and tan archival hues, with 10 seats each across the bar and chef’s counter, facing the open kitchen, where guests are granted an intimate meal preparation experience over an open fire.

Discover metropolitan eats and woodfired delights at the restaurant

With head chef Kurt Sombero, known for his portfolio in woodfire cooking, at the helm, diners are in for a treat with USDA prime cuts and Japanese Satsuma Wagyu A5. Guests can also enjoy the iconic porterhouse, dover sole, Maryland Crab Cakes and caviar-topped Black and White Bagels. In true metropolis fashion, feast upon street eats such as pizza slices, hot dogs and the Coach Cheeseburger. Finish off the meal by exploring the extensive dessert menu, which includes a 20-layer chocolate cake, soft-serve sundaes and a PB&J Baked Alaska, or choose from the 100-bottle all-American wine list curated by head sommelier Jane Yoon.

With this new addition, Singapore has become a global showcase of the maison’s lifestyle offerings, as the island hosts both The Coach Coffee Shop and The Coach Restaurant, as well as a newly renovated retail destination.
