The remarkable alliance between IWC Schaffhausen and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team commenced in 2013. As the latter gears up for the 2025 season, where the spotlight will be on new driver Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, the Swiss watchmaker reinforces its support as “Official Engineering Partner” by producing yet another timepiece — the previous ones were made in 2022 and 2023 — dedicated to its longstanding partner.
Featuring thoughtful elements that pay homage to the motorsport group, the simple and striking creation dubbed Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team showcases a black dial with indices, logo, date and Super-LumiNova coated hands in signature Petronas green. The 40mm matte grey case, fitted with a rubber strap, is crafted from lightweight and remarkably rigid grade 5 titanium. The case back is painstakingly engraved with small hexagons as well as “Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team”.
Driven by the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre, an automatic movement with a power reserve of 120 hours, the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team will be sported trackside by members including mechanics, engineers and race strategists during the event this year.
