Inspired by the fields and the forest that surround Jaeger-LeCoultre’s home in Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, the new Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day in pink gold stuns with a glowing green sunray-brushed dial, 168 diamonds and automatic movement in an open caseback.

The bezel sports 108 diamonds on a double ring circling the case. The outer circle flaunts 36 stones that are deftly set using a classical jewellery technique that creates the illusion of floating gemstones. The dial, surrounded by 47 diamonds, beautifully highlights the day/night indicator in all its glory.

On a disc that rotates every 24 hours, a pink gold crescent moon with a backdrop of stars slowly alternates with a polished golden sun as night turns to day. Staying true to the iconic codes of the Rendez-Vous, the hours are marked by applied Arabic numerals in the emblematic floral style and polished golden hemispheres. Finishing off the case, an inverted diamond is set into the winding crown, with three diamonds on each of the four lugs.

The exceptionally feminine watch is powered by Calibre 898, an in-house-made self-winding mechanical movement that provides a power reserve of 38 hours. The see-through caseback gives a glimpse into the finer details of classical watchmaking style, where the blued screws, circular graining on the wheels, Côtes de Genève on the plates and the open-worked pink gold winding rotor deserve praise and adoration.
