Omega Trophy 2023 sees 53 women golfers showcase their talent on the green

The prestigious Omega Trophy 2023, an exclusive women’s golf competition, unfolded at the scenic Saujana Golf & Country Club in September. It was a remarkable occasion where the perfect blend of skill, grace and golf camaraderie transformed it into a joyous celebration.

A total of 53 talented women golfers came together to showcase their love for the sport. With a nine-hole round of Stableford play, the event ensured fair contest, placing emphasis on strategic play and precision as players battled for victory and sought-after prizes.

It culminated with a dinner at the Ti Chen Restaurant in the Saujana Hotel. The attendees graced the evening in elegant cheongsams, setting the stage for a delightful mid-autumn festival menu. The atmosphere was further enlivened by special performances from Janet Lee, who was accompanied by a five-piece band. Guests had the privilege of immersing themselves in the world of Omega’s exquisite timepieces.

Martin Issing, vice-president of Omega Malaysia, had the honour of presenting the tournament winners with trophies and bespoke jewellery. Tan San Lin emerged victorious with an impressive 19 points, securing her win in a thrilling countback. It was a celebration of both golfing excellence and the wonderful camaraderie that is the heart of the sport.
