After his landmark exhibition in Paris in February, which also marked the first time a Southeast Asian artist was accorded a solo show at the Centre Pompidou, Malaysian living legend Latiff Mohidin’s seminal Pago Pago series returns home.
The collaborative exhibition between Ilham Gallery and Kadist Foundation collects more than 60 works from artists and collectives around Southeast Asia and the Americas.
The show explores a range of media, genres and sensibilities, from surrealism, slow cinema and trans-performance to queer photography and feminist paintings.
