After a few months of going under the radar to prepare for its relocation, Nobu KL has finally reopened at Four Seasons Place KL with sleeker interiors and brand-new features.

Nobu launched its first Southeast Asian restaurant six years ago at Menara 3 Petronas, an office building right beside the Twin Towers. While guests were able to enjoy the view of the towers up-close, getting to the restaurant on the 56th floor required several security screenings.

However, its new location at Four Seasons is much more accessible. “Now being situated in a lifestyle hub, it’s allowed us to introduce new conveniences while being fully children-friendly,” said general manager Gopi Kanala. The floor-to-ceiling windows open up to the garden panorama outside, which means you can get a direct view of the KLCC Symphony Lake when the fountain show lights up at night.

Frequent diners will notice that similar design cues have been brought forth to the new Nobu. While it makes the space seem more familiar, the improved layout in addition to new dining amenities help to create a finer experience.

The restaurant is divided into several sections. The bar is located closest to the entrance, perfect for those who are just looking to have casual drinks with friends or colleagues. Right beside it is the sushi bar, where the head sushi chef will be preparing and serving the restaurant’s signature Nobu-style sushi over the counter. Over at the dining area, the tables are well spread out so even when the restaurant is at full capacity (200 pax), guests won't feel like it's crowded.

“We also now have three private dining rooms of different sizes with a total capacity of 60 persons that can hold both small and medium scale events suited to the requirements of our guests,” Gopi added. “We’ve received many requests over the years to expand our capacity for events because of our location in the city centre as well as the world-renowned cuisine that we serve. Now that we’re in a very accessible location with our new and improved features, we’re excited to be able to host both private and corporate events.”

Moreover, the new Nobu boasts a sake room for patrons to enjoy their selection of Hokusetsu sake, made especially for the group. The room can accommodate up to a dozen people and provides both an experiential and educational journey for guests to learn about the different kinds of sake and which Nobu dishes are best paired with them. Nobu will also be reintroducing its tableside experience, where the chef prepares a dish in front of diners, for special promotions.

“All these new features that we’re introducing are sure to elevate the guest experience and supplement our world-renowned Japanese-Peruvian cuisine that our guests enjoy,” said executive chef Philip Leong. During the relocation period, Leong had time to experiment and come up with several new dishes, which will debut in the new menu.

“After roughly three months of waiting, I’m so excited to finally welcome back all our guests and see both new and old faces,” he added.
