Celebrate the maternal figure in your life with a special treat this Mother’s Day at six Klang Valley establishments.

 

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur



One is certainly spoilt for choice at Mandarin Oriental as it offers a luxurious dining experience at three of its restaurants: Mosaic, Lai Po Heen and Mandarin Grill. All mums who dine at Mosaic will receive a framed photograph as well as a bouquet of flowers as a memento of this celebratory lunch. All-day eatery Mosaic will also hand out vouchers for a complimentary one-night stay in a Park Suite for two, inclusive of breakfast, when a group of a minimum of five guests dines on May 12. On the same day, Lai Po Heen is preparing a special lunch and dinner menu for RM420 per person. But if you feel like enjoying a meal with a view, consider a four-course dinner at the park-facing Mandarin Grill, from RM450 per head.

Shangri-la Kuala Lumpur

Complement mum’s requisite flower bouquet with a luxurious rose-inspired treat, the Enchanting Rose Afternoon Tea Delight, at Shangri-la. In collaboration with French luxury perfume and cosmetics house Lancôme, the hotel presents a slew of sweet and savoury desserts to celebrate the special day with its patrons. The star of the menu is the Raspberry Rose Ispahan, offering a burst of flavour that harmonises raspberries and delicate rose petals. On top of that, there are other treats to savour like a Boston lobster croquette with trout caviar, maple glazed vanilla scone, and dehydrated strawberry and white chocolate scone. Priced at RM220 for a set for two, the afternoon tea comes with an exclusive complimentary Lancôme gift set and a voucher for Cryo Sculptor services at the Lancôme boutique. Until May 31.

Marking a harmonious union between two Parisian luxury brands, Sofitel has partnered luxury perfume manufacturer Goutal Paris for a special Mother’s Day celebration. The exclusive Petit Chérie Afternoon Tea set at Le Bar Cocktail & Stories features a selection of pastries, cakes and desserts infused with the delightful essence of rose and pear, ingredients used in Goutal Paris’ Petit Chérie perfumes. Nobu’s Mother’s Day Osusume Menu is created to cherish devoted mothers and the maternal figures in our lives. Presenting a curated selection of eight dishes, the establishment promises a fulfilling experience for its guests as each meal is prepared with the same attention to detail and care mums put into their home-cooked food. Some of the highlights are Creamy Crab Roll, Chu Toro Black Sesame Dressing, Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Moromi Miso and Chargrilled A5 Wagyu Karashi Miso Pepper Sauce. End the sweet celebration with two choices of dessert — Rose, composed of strawberry ganache, strawberry compote and rose-shaped green tea ice cream, or Love Coffee, featuring vanilla blueberry sponge, coffee mousse, chamomile tea jelly and rice puffs.
