Volvo Cars Malaysia has unveiled its first-ever electric-only crossover SUV, the C40 Recharge Pure Electric, further securing its position as the leading mover in the e-luxury segment in Malaysia. This is the second all-electric vehicle it has launched in 2022. The clean-powered XC40 rolled out earlier this year was an astounding success, with the company still fulfilling deliveries to customers and having a healthy order book going into 2023.

The new C40 Recharge Pure Electric features an edgy design and cutting-edge technology. It comes with a full electric powertrain that produces an output of 408hp and 660Nm of torque, enabling it to go from 0 to 100kph in 4.7 seconds. It can cover a range of more than 450km on a single charge, while featuring the ability to charge up to 80% in 28 minutes. Available in five colours, the car, priced at RM288,888, comes with five years of vehicle warranty, eight years of battery warranty, four years of digital service and the requisite charging accessories.
