Since 2004, eminent fashion designer Giorgio Armani has been translating the timeless elegance of his runways into premium fragrances made to encapsulate nature and cultures around the world. Crafted by the industry’s top noses using the finest ingredients, the Armani Privé Haute Couture perfume line comprises four collections — Les Eaux, La Collection, Les Terres Précieuses and Les Mille et Une Nuits.

Now, the house has released its latest scent, Iris Bleu. Made by Dora Baghriche (who also interpreted the label’s Gardénia Antigua fragrance), the pastel blue juice comes in the signature glass flacon with a black topper and gold plate. Its serene colour is inspired by the sprawling Mediterranean sea and sky, embodying an airy and fresh quality perfect for long summer days by the water.

The perfume opens with an effervescent greenness from crisp galbanum, lacing the accompanying notes of Calabrian bergamot and tart lemon with a verdant edge. The top elements evoke images of strolling through citrus gardens under warm sun and clear skies.

As it settles into the skin, the liquid reveals a blooming bouquet, starting with the heart note of powdery iris. Slightly woody and vegetal with a gentle sweetness, this star floral is joined by a luxe jasmine grandiflorum superinfusion for a velvety touch.

Hours later, the scent culminates in a finale of white musk accord and Virginia cedar and guaiac wood. These materials ground the perfume in a sophisticated sensuality, giving it a soft, lingering trail that enraptures the olfactive senses and delicately reels in attention.
