Florals for spring may be belaboured, but there is another level of vibrant beauty to be drawn from the grand, luscious blooms that peak in the summer sun. Drawing on this tropical splendour, Van Cleef & Arpels unveils the Fleurs d’Hawaï, a collection that pays homage to the tropical vitality of the Aloha State.

Coloured gems take centre stage in this stellar series, appearing in the lush petals of the flower motifs, detailed with diamond pistils and gold foliage. Five key colours appear across rings, earrings, pendants and wristwatches: joyous orange-yellow citrine, enchanting purple amethyst, sensual deep pink rhodolite, brilliant water-blue aquamarine and sprightly lime green peridot. Each of these precious stones is thoughtfully paired with rose, yellow or white gold to emphasise the vividness and intensity of its hue.

Purity, luminosity and uniformity have been prioritised, while the pear cut and gently inclined positioning form a well-balanced, generous corolla that appears lifted by the warm breeze. The gold base’s openworked structure enables light to stream through the gems, a perennial reminder of the sunny season.

The Fleurs d'Hawaï collection is inspired by the hues of a vibrant garden

At the heart of every glistening flower lies a radiant core of seven diamonds encircled by gold beads reminiscent of the prong settings. The Fleurs d’Hawaï’s ring and earrings are accentuated by a polished curve leaf, adding volume and elegant asymmetry.

The brand also recalls its historic timepiece legacy by introducing three secret watches in citrine and yellow gold, rhodolite and rose gold, as well as aquamarine and white gold models. Twelve immaculate stones encircle a sleek mother-of-pearl dial adorned with a single diamond at 12 o’clock. This can be hidden behind a pivoting gold and diamond motif for a taste of lavish mystery. The whole flower arrangement can be detached from the satin strap and worn as a bracelet, clip or pendant.
