After welcoming BTS member J-Hope as its house ambassador in February, Louis Vuitton named Zendaya as the latest face of the brand last month. Joining the likes of other sensational celebrities such as Jackson Wang, Deepika Padukone (the maison’s first Indian ambassador) and HoYeon Jung, Zendaya was chosen to be the star of the Capucines bag campaign.
The Capucines handbag is named after the Rue Neuve-des-Capucines, the Paris street where Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854. Launched in 2013, it is crafted in full-grain Taurillon leather, known for its smooth and supple texture. It has since become the defining feminine design for the luxury fashion house.
Versatile and chic, the iconic bag also offers different styling options, allowing the wearer to carry it in hand, over the shoulder or across the body. New models are imbued with vibrant spring shades and available in different sizes.
The Euphoria star — who took home the award for best actress in a TV drama series at the 2023 Golden Globes for the show — was spotted in a photoshoot, drenched in sunlight wearing black and white outfits.
Striking pose after pose across the backdrop of the dreamy Cote d’Azur with the bag, Zendaya exuded a bold and feminine energy to represent the signature collection. Styled by longtime collaborator Law Roach (who dramatically announced his retirement on Instagram in March), she was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggottat at the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin house, designed by pioneering modernist architect and designer Eileen Gray.
Loved by fans across the globe for her quirky character and effortless elegant styles, the American singer-actress will work closely with the maison to inspire international audience as a fashion icon of this generation.
