Boasting 47 hotels in the world’s major cities, Park Hyatt has long been regarded as a top choice for discerning travellers with a taste for the finer things in life. Renowned for curating well-appointed guestrooms, location-specific artworks and designs, as well as immersive culinary experiences, the hospitality giant is a prime example of refined, understated luxury. Now, those living in or visiting Malaysia may enjoy the brand’s sophisticated offerings in our very own capital city.

Slated to open its doors in August, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is not only one of the most anticipated launches in the country, but globally too. Occupying the top floors of the Merdeka 118 skyscraper, it offers unrivalled sprawling views of the bustling metropolis below and is a tranquil home away from home, tucked away in the clouds.

From the lobby to the suites, subtle Malaysian nuances have been introduced in the design. Screens inspired by batik motifs frame the front desk area and lattice pattern floor tiling meant to emulate the look of woven rattan adorn many of the communal and private spaces. Artworks commissioned from local artists can be found on every floor.

Soothe your mind and body at the lap pool located on the 99th floor

On the 99th floor sits a haven for fitness and rejuvenation. A key highlight is the impressive lap pool and Jacuzzi, which looks out to other key buildings in the area. Alongside a fully equipped gym as well as a yoga and pilates room, guests will also be able to access the spa for all kinds of remedies to soothe the mind and body.

Obviously, a holistic stay must include exceptional food, which can be savoured on the 75th floor, which houses the Park Lounge, the dedicated breakfast and all-day dining spot; Merdeka Grill, the signature restaurant (a must-have here is the salmon grilled on a cedar plank); and Cacao Mixology and Chocolate bar, where tipples are crafted specially to end each day on a sweet note.
