Casio collaborates with local streetwear brand Against Lab on limited-edition watch

Casio has collaborated with local streetwear brand Against Lab on a new limited-edition watch, the G-Shock DW-6900AL22. Only available in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, this timepiece brings together the “spirit of the underdogs” from both brands.

The classic DW-6900 was the first G-Shock watch to have electro-luminescent backlight. The current model also features the “Triple Graph” LCD display. Shock-resistant and water-resistant to a depth of 200m, this watch is meant to embody the Malaysian spirit, paying tribute to hardworking people who are part of the daily grind.

The design also took inspiration from motorcycles, a Malaysian staple. Motorcycles are affordable, easy to maintain, fast and reliable — qualities the new G-Shock has embraced. Used by delivery men to our local roti seller, motorcycles help to get the job done, and this Casio and Against Lab creation celebrates that ethos of hard work and pushing forward.

The caseback also features Against Lab’s brand mascot, A-Man

The G-Shock DW-6900AL22 has an overall matt-black design with a metal chrome watch face — evoking the feel of motorcycle exhaust pipes — with a vibrant orange line around it, similar to signal lights.

The Against Lab tyre tread graphic is visible on the strap, as well as the brand’s slogan, “All endeavour, no surrender”. The caseback also features Against Lab’s brand mascot, A-Man.

While every watch comes with a complimentary G-Shock x Against Lab bandana, the exclusive packaging is limited to 100 sets.
