Richard Koh Fine Art inaugurates new gallery at APW Bangsar with Justin Lim exhibition

‘Paintings for the observer and the observed’ encourages introspection through compositions of everyday objects and surroundings.

Set in Richard Koh Fine Art (RKFA)’s new ‘Window Gallery’ concept space, Malaysian artist Justin Lim’s solo exhibition is an invitation to pause and attend to the oft-overlooked details in domestic interiors. The smaller, intimate space brings audiences closer to Lim’s works, physically and emotionally, letting them spend more time exploring his vibrant scenes.

Paintings for the observer and the observed was developed as the artist’s deep dive into memory, spotlighting familiar rooms decorated with art, plants, books and little curiosities to be discovered by keen viewers. As one takes in every detail and layer with care, hidden meanings may surface — ones that might otherwise be lost in larger, busier works.

'Paintings for the observer and the observed' runs until July 18 at RKFA, APW Bangsar, KL.
