Most sunblocks stop at protecting the skin from the sun’s UV rays. Augustinus Bader’s The Sunscreen SPF 50 goes further: As it protects, it also renews the skin and prevents and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of ageing.

This fast-absorbing formula is powered by Trigger Factor Complex (TFC8), a proprietary skin cellular-renewing technology that is at the core of the brand’s clean skin and hair care products. And the man behind the science is German Augustinus Bader, who spent three decades researching stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. In 2018, he and French entrepreneur Charles Rosier teamed up to co-found Bader Group, now known for its science-backed skincare line.

Besides doubling as a shield against premature ageing resulting from sun exposure, The Sunscreen evens skin for a luminous glow and improves hydration. Antioxidants and vitamins in every signature blue bottle — such as microalgae extract, pomegranate flower, perilla leaf, Kakadu plum complex and raspberry seed oil — transport nutrients to cells for renewal. The formula is vegan and fragrance free, and will not clog pores.
