Women live it up when they go places — more so when they do it together. If you are planning a trip to New South Wales with your gang, head for a getaway owned by women, where you can enjoy a host of activities and food and beverage options and lend support to the sisterhood. There are choices aplenty: Last year’s figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that more than one-third of small business owners in the country are women.

Glamp in style at Sierra Escape and toast the stars as you share secrets and catch up. Twenty minutes’ drive from the town of Mudgee, a few hours’ drive from Sydney, this luxury eco-campground is equipped with wood fireplaces, king-size beds and an outdoor bathtub on your private deck.

Spend intoxicating hours at wineries run by women winemakers, such as Rowlee Wines in Orange or Pepper Tree Wines in the Hunter Valley, or wend your way to Byron Bay and nose around for rustic homewear at Hope + May or sustainable swimwear at Salt Gypsy.

If getting wet and wild is your thing, go and swim with fur seals at Montague Island or snorkel with dolphins at Port Stephens. If fancy joints are your cup of tea, Luxe South Coast is ready to curate indulgent activities that take you from day to night.

And before zipping up your luggage for home, find space for aromatic reminders of your adventure, such as natural products by Indigiearth or Juddarnje’s skincare range that uses oils, clays, botanicals and essential oils — all Australian ingredients.
