Among all of Tudor’s creations, the Royal series is the one that perfectly toes the line between sporty and elegant. Since its inception in the 1950s, the signature bezel, integrated bracelet and automatic movement have earned it a place among some of horology’s most stylish collectors. Now, the brand is introducing a striking new dial hue to the collection — a deep blue that evokes regalness and nobility — epitomising its signature “Born to Dare” ethos. This phrase reflects the manufacture’s history as a boundary breaker, and tells the stories of brave individuals who have achieved great heights on land, in the air or underwater, accompanied by a Tudor watch.
The enchanting azure is not the only thing setting this model apart from the rest of the Royal watches. Under the sapphire crystal, the golden Roman numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock are interspersed by diamond hour markers. More sparkling gems adorn the bezel crafted from either 316L stainless steel or yellow gold. A semi-instantaneous date window perches at 3 o’clock. As usual, the 28mm case is water-resistant to 100m, thanks to the screw-down crown and caseback. Meanwhile, the integrated bracelet with satin-brushed external and central links and folding clasp create a seamless and fluid look. It also improves comfort, demonstrating Tudor’s commitment to undeniable quality.
Concealed behind the caseback, the self-winding mechanical movement Calibre T201 ticks away. Though hidden from view, it is finely decorated with 25 jewels. It offers approximately 38 hours of power, ensuring top-notch performance to match the instrument’s refined appearance.
